No hot water first thing - was fine later. Check in/out was very good, parking convenient at nearby sister hotel (30 yards away. Breakfast good and service was fine

Perfect location! Stay three nights to get the best deals.
Top Tip
It is right across the street from a tour bus stop, and as each ticket is good for 24 hours, we used it as our transport.
Also across the street are steps that go directly up to, or return from, the castle.
The White Hart, a two minute walk away on the Grassmarket is the oldest pub in Edinburgh and has great food and atmosphere.
Petit Paris, again a two minute walk away on the Grassmarket, is an authentic French restaurant serving delicious food at good prices. One main course and coffee for £7.95 at lunch and dinner!
