Royal Scots Club Description

Founded in 1919 as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the Great War and situated in one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian streets, the Royal Scots Club Hotel offers that rare combination: the charm of a country house property combined with a cosy club atmosphere.
With only 21 guestrooms, the service at the hotel is more personal and the guestrooms themselves are individually designed with warmth, comfort and taste in mind. They offer guests the usual amenities you would expect from a hotel of this category. The restaurant serves traditional Scottish fayre, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Light snacks are available in the less formal bar/lounge.
PLEASE NOTE that due to long tradition the Club does have a Dress Code for the restaurant. Gentlemen are expected to wear a jacket and tie for lunch between a Monday and Friday (an open necked shirt, worn without a jacket is acceptable at weekends.) A jacket and tie is required for dinner Monday to Thursday, on other evenings smart but casual attire is acceptable. Ladies are expected to conform to an equivalent standard of dress at all times.
