Really good location, great shower and great pub adjoining (might not suit those wanting a quiet break).
Top Tip
National Museum of Scotland is well worth a visit. Take comfy shoes for walking (didn't realise it was as hilly!)

Our room was filthy and we requested a change. It took the front desk staff 3 tries to get the room correct. Rooms had filth on the walls, floors and mildew inthe bathroom. TV's and phones didn't work in every room and I needed to stand on a chair to turn the TV on/off and mattresses in our room were thin and crib size! When you pay a room rate such as we did we should have been paid to sleep in these "hotel-like" conditions. I would not recommend this place.

Decor looks "tired". Room rather small. Location was convenient, which was the main reason for choosing this hotel. Unlikely to need that area again.

Take an open top bus tour and then decide which places to spend more time at. The Cstle and Palace of Holyrood are faxcinating and need several hours each
