The hotel was okay except for the fact that it is located near a very busy pub, which is open until 3am! It would have been better to know this beforehand, as I was on holiday with my mother, and she wanted an early night.

The whole four nights stay was a complete disater.
Room service organised on two seperate occasions never happened. The free meal as compensation was offered, which was partially taken after a 20 minute wait for a starter and further 25 minutes later a cold main meal was bought and sent back with a promise of a fresh one to be cooked, 25 minutes later I walked out the restaurant being fed up of waiting. Whilst this was happening, 50% of the bar staff sat at the end of the bar enhjoying their meals.

not in the nicest street, but walking distance from the royal mile. An ideal hotel if you are lucky enough to get good weather,, it has a great beer garden and live music till 1am at weekends. Rooms quite small but adequate.

Staff were helpful enough but a bit vague when asked for any assistance.
